Dry suit rental

Due to an increasing number of cases of injuries and decompression sickness caused by sudden ascents by divers who have not properly mastered the use of dry suits, PADI has changed the rules regarding the use of dry suits from June 1, 2023.

Therefore, to make diving safer, we will also be changing the requirements for renting dry suits.

If you are taking a PADI program (including diving tour) in a dry suit, you must meet one of the following three conditions:

*Already have PADI Drysuit Specialty Diver certification (or certification from another training organization)

* You have at least four dry suit dives under your belt and can provide proof of this with your training records and logbook (your dive shop or dive resort will make a copy of this for you)

*Currently taking the PADI Drysuit Diver Specialty course

With this update, essentially any diver wanting to use a drysuit will be required to take a Drysuit Specialty Course to learn how to use a drysuit safely.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
