Water temperature in Shakotan
January to March
9℃～4.5℃～7℃
April to June
7℃～15.5℃
July to September
15.5℃～24℃～20℃
October to December
20℃～9℃
Water temperature of Lake Shikotsu
Even in summer, the water surface temperature is in the single digits from a depth of around 25m, and is around 23°C, but it drops by 1°C for every 1m below a depth of around 5m.
From around 40m, the temperature remains around 4°C all year round.
